Warm air at the vents, ice on the lines, or a breaker that keeps tripping isn't a wait-it-out problem when Northampton, PA temperatures climb. We check charge, compressor amp draw, and coil condition before recommending a fix before any part gets quoted.
Topping off refrigerant without ever finding the leak is one of the most common ways Northampton homeowners get overcharged. We pull static and running pressures, check superheat and subcooling against factory spec, and use electronic detection to find the actual leak, because a properly repaired leak outlasts three top-offs.

Real detection equipment finds the source, not just a temporary patch.
Six issues that cover the majority of what we see.
We locate, repair, and recharge to spec — not just refilled and sent on its way.
A compressor that hums without starting or pulls high amps gets tested at the windings and start capacitor before we recommend replacement.
We find why the coil froze, not just defrost it and hope.
A failing capacitor is a common cause of a dead condenser, and it's usually a same-visit fix once confirmed.
Debris on the coil drives up pressure and shortens compressor life, so we clean and inspect during the visit.
A blown fuse or tripped disconnect can present exactly like a dead compressor, so we rule these out first to avoid an unnecessary replacement.

Describe the symptom — warm air, ice, tripping breaker — and we route the nearest tech and we'll get a tech moving.

Cooling emergencies jump the queue, usually resolved within a few hours of your call.
